Congress MLAs join BJP in Assam
Description
Nine Congress MLAs in Assam formally joined rival Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday in presence of several senior leaders. Among them, 4 legislators -Pradan Baruah, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Piyush Hazarika and Pallab Lochan Das were suspended from Congress for anti-party activities. Earlier, one sitting MLA from Asom Gana Parishad AGP, Padma Hazarika joined the BJP on October 30.
