CONCEPT AMG GT XX – Innovations

The powerful cooling system is a key factor in the CONCEPT AMG GT XX's high continuous performance. At the heart of this is the innovative direct oil cooling of the high-performance battery. However, the on-demand cooling of the Electric Drive Units (EDUs) on the front and rear axles and the Onebox were also crucial. This unit houses the power electronics for the 12-volt electrical system and the on-board charger.
Different temperature windows are required for the different systems. For example, the EDUs operate within a different temperature spectrum than the battery. The Central Coolant Hub (CCH) ensures the precise supply of all components. This highly integrated component is the ""mastermind"" of the cooling system in the CONCEPT AMG GT XX and is located in a space-saving manner between the front EDU and the left front longitudinal member of the body.
