Complaints to Ofcom over X Factor
Description
Series seven of the X Factor looks set to be the most explosive yet. The show's barely begun but it has already been hit by scores of complaints.
ITV have confirmed that 500 viewers wrote it, annoyed about judge Cheryl Cole not putting Gamu Nhengu into her final three.
A Facebook page called "Gamu should have got through" protesting the decision attracted more than 26,000 followers a day after Cheryl's verdict was aired and had more than quadrupled its number of supporters 24 hours later.
Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel were picked for the live shows despite struggling to sing their songs.
Angry fans have branded the series a farce and some even claim Cheryl's choices were down to racism.
Bookies are now backing Zimbabwean singer Gamu as the favourite to win the talent contest, even though she is no longer in it! They were apparently forced to give her odds due to overwhelming public support.
