Watch dramatic aerial footage showing a wildfire rapidly spreading through the landscape in Meeker, Colorado.

Mario Rossi, a helicopter pilot from the US, filmed the series of helicopter shots revealing thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky as flames cut through grassland and wooded areas.

The scale of the blaze is clear from above, with vast stretches of scorched earth visible as the fire pushes forward.

According to Mario Rossi, more than 25,000 acres of land have been consumed by the fire and 0% of it has been contained.

The video, posted on TikTok, has gathered over 500,000 views and drawn concerns from viewers across the country.

Mario wrote: “Unfortunately Lee Fire has crossed the highway and is working north eastbound towards town.”
Mario added: "Strong winds are working against all crews making things very difficult.”
