Colorado Wildfire Doubles In Size

According to Reuters, a wildfire blazing in Colorado doubled in size over the weekend.
Officials stated that bone-dry conditions and gusting winds are expected to fuel the fire even more, prompting another round of evacuations.
A mandatory evacuation order was issued to 859 residences in La Plata County, Colorado, bringing the total number of evacuations to 2,000 households.
An aerial survey found that the fire in southwest Colorado burned almost 9,000 acres by June 9th.
But a day later on June 10th, the fire burned nearly 17,000 acres north of Durango.
With more than 800 firefighters on scene, the 416 Fire is only 10-percent contained.
