Colorado mountain lion eats dog

Dog eaten: A Colorado man lost his pet his last week when a mountain lion turned the dog into a meal.

The man was walking his dog in a gated community in Colorado Springs one day when a mountain lion emerged from some bushes and snatched up the pet. The man pulled on the leash, but the mountain lion managed to take off with both the dog and the leash. Animal control officials tracked down the mountain lion hours later and euthanized it, declaring it was a threat to public safety.
