Colombian hostage release preps underway
Description
Officials in Colombia are preparing to receive the last round of hostages held by the FARC, the Revolutionary Armed forces of Colombia,.
Helicopters will pick up some of the 10 hostages from a secret location on Monday.... the rest are set to be handed over on Wednesday.
The hostages have been held in the FARC's jungle prisons... some for more than 10 years.
Friends and family held a church service Sunday in anticipation of the release.
Last week, the FARC said it would abandon it's decades long policy of kidnapping for ransom.
Officials say the move is a step in the right direction, but more needs to be done to demobilize it, and other rebel paramilitary groups.
