Colombian helicopter crash kills 13
Description
A Colombian Air Force helicopter crashed on Monday (April 30), killing all 13 people on board, according to local media.
The Bell 212 helicopter crashed in Sabanagrande, in northern Colombia, and one eye witness said he saw the passengers calling for help as the helicopter went down.
"They were waving their hands in the air, calling for help. It was good that they went the other way looking for the open field so that there weren't more casualties," said Emilio Gonzalez, who witnessed the accident.
The helicopter crashed at 4:30pm local time (2130gmt), according to the Colombian air force website.
The Air Force has not officially confirmed the number of casualties.
