cold september - Give Me Rest

No name has come upon my mind
To bring me morning sorrow
Though tired I can not set myself to rest
I’m waiting for tomorrow
My hope is you inside my head
And smile upon my face
I know this time the night will come
This hope is just a waste
So I praise the night
To give me rest
To lay my head in softly pillow
To chase bad dreams nightmares away
And just cradle me into the sleep
