Cold arctic air sweeps Korea

Our top story this morning...
Sub-zero air from the Arctic took over across South Korea, leaving most of us here waking up to the coldest morning of the season.

Hi Mark. Not much... it's still amazingly cold... But I can feel that Christmas season is coming up with stores and cafes playing Christmas carols...so if you want to have an early taste of Christmas mood come out to Gangnam station, but if you decide to do so... be sure up bundle up tight, take out your thickest jacket, gloves and wear a scarf, anything to keep you safe and warm.

Cold wave advisories have been re-issued in many central regions... morning lows in most parts this morning dropped to below minus 10 degrees Celsius...the mercury points at about ____ degrees right now, but it feels a lot colder than the actual temperatures... the biting wind chill is not helping.

But brace yourself, we have even colder conditions on the way this weekend. Lows plunging to minus 11 degrees Celsius here in Seoul, at least it will be Saturday tomorrow so most of us can sleep in.... wait until early next week to see temperatures rebounding to positive side.

Meanwhile, today is Daeseol meaning a low of snow... Chungcheong-do and Jeolla-do Provinces and Jeju will see snow until Saturday. West coast of Jeollabuk-do Province will see heavy snow
of up to 10 centimeters into Sunday, be extra careful there.
The rest of country will be under mostly sunny skies.

Expect to have sub-freezing temperatures all day, Seoul at minus 4 degrees... even lower that yesterday's morning lows... Busan and Jeju will also notice big drop in temperatures today so stay warm.
