Cockpit view shows Jubilee from above
Description
Pilots flying vintage Spitfires and Lancaster airplanes got a bird's-eye view of the hundreds of thousands of people gathered on the streets of London on Tuesday (June 5) as they performed a flypast of Buckingham Palace for the Queen's diamond jubilee celebrations.
Crowds filled the streets and parks surrounding the palace, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Queen and her family as they viewed the flypast from the balcony of her London residence.
The flypast included Hurricanes, Lancasters and Spitfires as they flew in formation over The Mall and the palace.
