Coalgate crisis hits UPA

The Coalgate crisis has put the UPA government under attack from all corners, with the Supreme Court making scathing observations while hearing the case on the CBI director's affidavit, saying that the sharing of the status report is an erosion of trust. Meanwhile, the government is also facing the opposition's heat in the Parliament. Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, leading the charge, cornered the government, calling it the most corrupt government after independence. Under fire, Law Minister Ashwani Kumar refused to comment on the Supreme Court's observation, and the UPA is trying to chalk out its game plan to tackle the crisis.
