Close Call With Car Door

: My mom and I went to the supermarket in the car and when I parked and got out of the car (I was in the passenger seat). I saw that I had opened the car door very quickly without checking the column. I had gotten very close to hitting it. When we finished shopping and put everything into the car, I wanted to record how close my mom had parked to the column, when my mom, without knowing that I was recording and had opened the door, started to back up and I quickly closed the door. But it still scraped the column a little.
