STORY: Bahraini police fired teargas to disperse anti-government protests near the capital Manama on Wednesday, as demonstrations continued following the death of a young activist.
Dozens of protesters built barricades in the streets of Sehla, south-west of Manama, and threw petrol bombs and rocks at riot police during a third day of demonstrations following the death of 20-year-old activist Sadiq Sabt on Sunday. Sabt had reportedly been in a coma in hospital for a month after being hit by a car. Activists said he was hit deliberately, but no one has been held accountable.
