Clashes after Friday prayers in Egypt

Supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi take to the streets in Cairo Friday -- chanting that the Muslim Brotherhood is no terrorist group.

And then came the clashes.

Anger and uproar spills into the streets days after the government declared that the Brotherhood was a terrorist organization. At least two people were killed in clashes.

Student protests continued at several universities in Cairo and around the country.

This comes despite the arrest of dozens of Muslim Brotherhood supporters before Friday prayers, with the government anticipating further protests despite having clamped down on dissent.

Officials issued a new round of warnings that anyone taking part in protests to support the Islamist movement will be punished under terrorism laws.

Some analysts warn the escalating crackdown on the Brotherhood risks triggering more violence in a country already facing the worst internal strife in its modern history.
