Clarence Thomas - Tired

I’m tired of always running away,
When all I ever wanted was a place to stay.

I’m tired of being surrounded by others in life,
When all they seem to cause is conflict, sadness, and strife.

I’m tired of having nobody there,
When all I ever needed was someone to care.

I’m tired of this endless struggle for more,
When I don’t even know what it is I’m fighting for.

I’m tired of being afraid to fall,
When I never even started to climb at all.

I’m tired of always being awake,
When dreams never hurt you, even though they’re fake.
