Ciara Owens - What will it take?

I can't take this anymore,
I can't just let you go on command.
I've locked my heart behind frozen doors,
And still i can't seem to get you to understand.

Though i've tried a million times,
You've only heard, but you never listened.
Like my words aren't even worth your time,
And all those tears i cried, never even glistened.

I feel like i'm living a lie,
From a past full of pain, hatred, and fears.
A pain that killed me up inside,
Which sent me back to a life of anguish, death, and tears.

So what must i do? How hard so i need to try,
To get you to understand the reasons why?
