The screaming a broken alarm.
A genuinely even trade.
extremity underscores
the hopes competing
With stagnating gain.
The bandage a covered alarm.
Striving gauntly
And pulling too far.
No compliance to some simple joy
where pangs of hope compel your loss.
The guilt encodes a new assault.
What you can't have must not embrace
your ambitions,
Or your commitments will only be as valid
as the fiction sustaining
the unremitting truth of your eye.
