christopher murphy - Revelation (part two)

The red kite circles above me,
majestically surveying the land below him.
i look down the lush green valley below my feet,
we see the same view.
But through different eyes.
Is this the journey i should take?
The rushing of the stream over the rocks,
awakens me from my silent trance.
Oh, how i long to be free like the kite,
if i could only break free from the shackles of my past.
