Christopher Lacomba - the forest

Looking around I see all the trees
Deep in this forest exactly where I want to be
Nothing but quiet and the rustle of the leaves
All of those noises from the city destroyed
By a deafening blanket of beautiful simplicity
Deep in this moment of clarity
I recollect all these thoughts and emotions
Deep into the pool I dive
Climbing deeper and deeper I try to make it to the peaceful bottom
Lungs burning I return to the surface once more into the light
Glistening crystals fall about me like tears from an angel
This is calm as is peaceful
Never to leave this one golden virtue I will remain complacent
