Description

Once a bird was claimed in wild fire
Unaware that its heat,
Would, eventually,
Have him, raised substantially
Higher.
Once his sole elevation topped,
Reaching the inferno’s edge
Observing the implausible; …. heart dropped.
Invoking from deep within him
Thought;
Whether travel up into the heavens,
Or,
Purely,
Allow his everything stopped?
So,
Indecisive,
Loosing self in thought.
Understanding his home
Ablaze was gone.
Thinking again of the heavens
Comprehending soul, Life, Understanding role
Too soon, his thinking stopped.
But yet, transcendent,
He concludes, pleasurably,
To become both heavens’,
And with the trees.
Now with his choice
Took his leave.
Pleased
To become,
As one, with all.
Those who think,
and those who crawl.
