I hear you rapping on the door to my soul.
You show up like an old friend.
You bring my heart the same old news -
that I am not loved.
You have come to stay for a while and I can
not decline your visit.
You know the rooms in the house of my soul
and you go straight to your bed.
I've missed you and have not waited for your return.
As always you are not a welcome visitor
but you know where you belong.
