Rest easy my darling
Though first snows are falling
They’re early this year, yes I know
Come back to your pillow
Come lay down beside me
And smile for the sheltering snow

The sharp winds won’t bite us
Though cruel frost may hunt us
Through this winter’s multiple snows
Wherever we are will be
Warm as the springtime
And sweet as the first budding rose

I’ll bring you the warmth
Of the tropical breezes
I’ll bring you the shimmering sand
I’ll bring you the kiss
Of the midsummer sunrise
In each loving touch of my hand

Nestle deep in my arms
Dearest, dream of the summer
Through every cold winter night
Our love is a fire
To warm us forever
Rest easy my darling tonight
