Music to my ears
My eyes
Always looking out the windows
At all the places I could be
And all the lives I could lead
Looking back at all the past I've conquered
Into your eyes, seeing the depth of your eyes
Deep as the holes in your heart
They've dug.
Imagining your face, I was scared to see
You behind bars on Christmas day
I've never met such a gentle soul
These are our prisons.
I've never seen such hate breed in some hearts
That are free
How much kinder the world would be
If you all switched places.
Sharp as our minds, she's all grown up
On the streets, on the rails,
A rolling stone
And we all wish
We could give it all up
Let it all go
And follow..
