I never knew a heartache
Until I lost you
I know now my life
Will never be the same

It’s been a year since
I said goodbye
How do I live with
this emptiness inside

The pills and booze help
Ease the pain but it
only mask the tears
That I cry each night

The demons that haunt me
Fester up inside
They burry their guilt
Like a knife stuck in
My side

The lines that now show
On my face
Tell a story of heartbreak
That time will never
erase
