Chris Jibero - Mum's Prayer

“Grant me
Oh God
The Spirit
That abhors sin
And do help me
To overcome the flesh
In its habitual challenges.”

Now know I
How crisp and apt
Mum’s prayer was
For sin
Mostly triggered
By the cravings of the flesh
Bars man from getting
God’s auspicious attention.
