Dear Jesus,
I write today
Not knowing what to say.
In this land you have forgiven
So many times in the past,
I stand here and wait.
Watching this world continue to go astray,
Wondering if you hear me as I speak these words?
Are you watching this earth,
Or is your face turned away?
Is their love, or hate within thy heart?
When the world has failed thee from the start.
When times are troubled
You stand strong.
Your fire burning
Throughout the minds of your sons and daughters,
Creating a spark of hope
In this irreparable century.
Will they be able to bring about
Change for your house?
I feel the world is all but lost,
Oh dear Jesus, hear me today!
