Chris Cariad - A Birdless Feather

I feel my life incomplete
and beginning to struggle.
A gaping hole resides within
and only time will see it’s replete.
What's missing?
I find no answer,
but a light in the sky
and a birdless feather,
elegantly descending to my side.
Give me the answer
I need to revive,
shining bright as it hits the earth.
I look back up to see a dove soaring high.
Reminding me that life may not always be complete,
but like the fallen feather
from the angelic dove, its missing piece,
will always grow back in due time,
and the dove will continue to fly high.
Complete as it can be,
with just the small missing feather
descending from the galaxy.
