Chris Brown cries for Michael Jackson

Chris Brown has broken down on stage during a tribute to his idol, the late Michael Jackson.

In an emotional performance he had tears rolling down his face and was barely able to sing more than the first few lines of Man in the Mirror.

The singer performed a medley of MJ's biggest hits which saw him moonwalk in front of the audience at the 10th anniversary BET Awards.

Michael's brother Jermaine comforted the singer on the side of the stage after the crowd helped him finish the song.

Other performers at the event in LA included Alicia Keys, Usher and Eminem. Prince was honoured with a lifetime achievement award.
