Chocolate car unveiled

With St Valentine's Day not far away car manufacturer Mercedes Benz is marketing a chocolate-themed version of its Smart car in Tokyo.

Designed by a Japanese accessories company, Q-Pot, the car is brown and patterned like a bar of chocolate.

Tadaaki Wakamatsu thought up the chocolate-themed car:

"I designed this car hoping that not only men but also women would drive this car and spend sweet time at the wheel," he said.

It is traditional in Japan for women to give men a gift of chocolate on Valentine's Day and not only for their boyfriends but bosses and work colleagues too.

Orders for the car can be placed from 2 February to 13 March, one day before the so-called 'White Day', when Japanese men repay the women who gave them gifts of chocolate with other presents.
