Chloe Smith - Crocodile

It may be hard to cut the skin of a crocodile,
But your empty tears only fool us for a while.
Once I see the secrets behind those yellow eyes,
I can see the full extent of your reptilian disguise.
So cry your crocodile tears for the victim, my green scaled friend,
And know that your deceit and lies have now come to an end.
You snap at us with your razor sharp teeth when our backs our turned,
But you must know there’s something that you should have learned.
You may swing your powerful tail at us in an attempt to knock us off the trail,
But we’ve hunted you down, crocodile, and these hunters will prevail.
Locked up in captivity, the reptile will realise its fears,
And no one else will be tricked by your crocodile tears.
