There are too much gun and knife crimes on the streets
There are too much parents giving children beats
There is too much cereal without any wheat
So tell me what im going to get to eat
There’s too many gangs hanging round on the roadside
On the way back they fall on there backside
There are too many people carrying knives
Just walking round taking lives
Another young boy dropping out of school
Thinks he’s cool but he’s just the fool
Children being bullied for the colour of there skin
They can’t fight back there way to thin
Some wasteful young men smoking weed
Then when they go do school they don’t succeed
A fine young girl given crazy illusions
Saying smoking’s the answer and weeds the conclusion
People sending the message out that drugs keep you busy
Narrow mined teens listen then start to get dizzy
Everybody giving knives to each other
Soon they’ll be knifing there own brothers and mother
Knives have to stop NO spells no
When you’re lost and knives are the only place to go
This is even being shown on are own telly
Can’t a man walk out the house without being stabbed in the belly?
Even worse at thirteen there turning to the thugs
At 14 they start selling illegal drugs
Turn 15 there life is all about the fight
16 there the ones burgling houses at night
17 there certified criminals always on the run
18 killed there fellow humans just for fun
20 they leave the country, abandon there son
21 they already feeling old plus getting very pale
By the time there 22 there caught and thrown in jail
Nobody to harm and no one to touch
Now there wishing they wouldn’t have killed so much
In jail there getting old, staring to get thin
But all these things are part of the generation we live in.
