Chitrangada Singh - Biography

Chitrangada Singh, born on 28th March 1976, is an Indian actress and model. She is married to the famous Golfer Jyoti Singh Randhawa and is the sister of golfer Digvijay Singh and Tina.

Chitrangada is a trained Kathak dancer and started her modeling career in Delhi and endorsed Alukka Jewellery and ICICI Bank. She also worked in music videos like Sunset Point by Gulzar and Abhijeet Bhattacharya.

Chitrangada was introduced to Hindi cinema by Sudhir Mishra in his critically acclaimed film Hazaron Khwahishen Aisi in the year 2003, and her performance was well appreciated by the masses and the critics. The Washington Post wrote - her performance had deep sense of dignity and decency.

In the year 2005 she worked in a movie Kal and later took a break from cinema from 2005 to 2008.

She made her comeback with a comedy Sorry Bhai, and in the year 2011 acted in Yeh Saali Zindagi which was a big hit, and in year 2012- Desi Boyz with Akshay Kumar.

Chitrangada is the brand ambassador for products like Parachute, Airtel, and Taj Mahal Tea.

She won the Bollywood Best Debut Award and Young Woman Achiever Award by FCCI.
