Chit fund scam: Ponzi scheme plagues govt

In a serious fall-out of the Chitfund scam in West Bengal, a woman committed suicide after she lost her life's savings. Sandhya a resident of Baripur set herself ablaze after she learnt that Sar-adha Group is shutting shop. She had invested her life's entire savings in Saradha ponzi scheme. She lost all hopes after the Baruipur office of Sharada was ransacked by angry protesters last evening. Police is now trying to trace if she has left behind any suicide note. She was brought to Chittaranjan Hospital where with 80 percent burn injuries where she succumbed to death. This is second case of suicide related to the case, after one person committing suicide in Durgapur. Mamata banerjee has however deflected Trinamool's complicity in the matter.
