Chipmunk to become a teacher?

If his music career had not worked out, grime artist Chipmunk might have gone into teaching.

Whilst still in school the rapper, whose real name is Jahmaal Noel Fyffe, had plans to be a teacher, but had to scrap those plans when his music career started to take off.

"Up to Chip Diddy Chip music was just a hobby", the 19-year-old said.

To date Chipmunk has had four top 10 hits, including the number one single Oopsy Daisy. He has also won Best UK Newcomer at the MOBO Awards in 2008 and won for Best Hip-Hop Act last year.

Despite his success, the artist does not rule out to return to his earlier career plans.

"I think I still will be a teacher one day.

"There's been like three teachers that helped me get through school. I would like to be that teacher to someone else."
