Chinese three cup chicken
Description
One of the most popular Chinese dishes is three-cup chicken. But what exactly is it? Li Zhengyuan, the Executive Chef of Crowne Plaza International Airport Beijing, will introduce us the the secret of the "three cups". The origin of this dish is Ganzhou, Jiangxi province, a city in the southeast of China. The ingredient of this dish is somewhat special. It must be Sanhuang Chicken, which is only raised in Ningdu, Jiangxi. This kind of chicken taste fresh and tender, very delicious. Because it is made with a cup of rice wine, lard and soy, it is called "Three-cup Chicken." Adding some sweet basil in this dish can promote the flavor. Sweet basil comes from western cooking traditions. It has a heavy fragrance, so it can play a role in seasoning especially when cooked with chicken.
