China to open pollution data to public

It is a rare bow to public pressure, as citizens have been complaining of hugely underestimated rates of pollution.
Many experts say the government has not taking enough steps to fight the "hazardous" problem, caused mainly by the usage of fossil fuels, which many of China's nearly 1.4 billion residents rely on for energy.
