China pledges $60 billion for African development

China's President Xi Jinping has announced he is to pump 60 billion dollars into Africa to help develop the continent. Meanwhile, in Benin, the news that Prime Minister Lionel Zinsou will stand as the ruling party's candidate in presidential elections triggers mixed reactions.
And as climate change talks continue here in Paris, Africa remains one of the main victims of global warming. Malawi is facing its most severe food crisis in a decade, owing to erratic rains.
