China MFA: World in chaos faces grave security challenges

China is committed to working with BRICS partners to strengthen their strategic partnership and contribute to global peace and security, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning stated during a press briefing in Beijing.

"China will exchange ideas on international security and key global issues with BRICS partners during the meeting, and prepare for the upcoming 16th BRICS Summit," Mao said.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend the 14th meeting of BRICS high-ranking officials for security in St. Petersburg, Russia, later this week.
