China Feed Costs Surge
Description
Iran war-driven soymeal and corn price surges are squeezing Chinese pig producers, with feed costs up 4–7% and hog futures hitting 9,980 yuan/ton while cash prices drop. Farmers are losing 280–350 yuan per pig as input costs including vitamins and fishmeal surge up to 77% since February 28th.
