China breaches LAC

Indian Army has moved re-inforcements to contain Chinese intrusion in Ladakh in the biggest military face-off since 1986. Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh is in Jammu. His visit assumes significance in view of latest Chinese incursion. The Jammu and Kashmir government has written to the central government voicing its concern over the "deep incursion of Chinese troops on this side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the cold desert region of Ladakh". The Chinese army has intruded well beyond China's own territorial claim.
