Chile: Bachelet Signs Voting Reform into Law

Chilean President Michelle Bachelet has signed a bill into law that will make major changes in the country’s electoral system. The changes are geared towards respecting voters’ wishes and making sure more women participate in politics. The law overturns an electoral system introduced by dictator Augusto Pinochet.
