50 Views • May 01, 2017
Description
Two children were pulled alive from an overturned car trapped in a torrent of flood water in Texas on April 29, when a group of passers-by pulled together to help, using tools and their bare hands to pry open the doors and get inside.
The incident took place near Myrtle Springs, according to reports</a>, when the family of Phillip Ocheltree, leaving their home to escape flooding, “hydroplaned” off the wet road and flipped into a ditch.
Passers-by dragged the children to safety and helping to resuscitate them.
On his Facebook page, Ocheltree said that his baby son, Marshal, was doing well and that his two-year-old daughter, Addy, was “stable and doing much better,” late on April 30.
This video was captured by Tom Mitchell. It was uploaded to the Facebook page of David Schechter, a journalist</a> at WFAA-TV in Texas. WFAA ran the video along with an interview with Mitchell.
