Children caught in the crossfire

In the Western Cape, violent clashes between law enforcement and residents over housing and land grabs are turning deadly. An 8-year old boy from Elsiesriver was shot dead on Monday. Last week, a 9-year-old from St Helena Bay died after being injured during a protest about land. And the week before, a teenage girl was killed when residents fired live ammunition to stop the demolition of structures in Kraaifontein.
