Coldness, Darkness
Spiraling down his spine as he ran
Away, from the entangling threat and stresses
Of his present and his past.
Sweat trickled.
Stars twinkled.
Lamp posts passed by as he ran
Away, like a flying arrow from the ruthless lawman.
Stroke by stroke.
Step by step.
The nature sang behind the bloke
A sweet praised descant.
The man ran as if death itself were chasing;
Away from this land.
But from far away a shot was heard.
The man no longer ran.
The sweet melody continues
As if nothing had took place
The man laid cold in the silver moonlight
O man O man Amen
