Chevron Bracing for Strikes
Description
Unions in Australia are planning work stoppages at Chevron's LNG production facilities due to pay and condition disputes. Chevron's Gorgon and Wheatstone projects account for over 5% of global LNG capacity. The Offshore Alliance, a group of unions, has announced plans for a series of strikes at Chevron's projects, potentially costing Chevron billions of dollars. Energy analyst Saul Kavonic believes that the strikes may hinder production but will not have a significant impact on global markets.
