Chessica Mace - Rain

The sky suddenly bursts open, emitting tears of joy.
The lightning sends its fiery darts, the thunder is its toy.
It seems to shake, the very earth, as if it were in pain.
Can it be so wonderfully dramatic? It is only rain.

Tiny drops of water fall to the wanting earth below.
Some will shower the creek banks and into the rivers flow.
The mist shall tempt the trees, their life’s requirement.
The clouds will then break free once their time is spent.

So once it’s all replenished and the sun begins to glow.
The morning sky just might be blessed with a magnificent rainbow.
The beauty of the earth would never be the same,
Without the tender, loving care of the ever-frequent rain.
