This is the first half of an advanced lesson on development, appropriate for players over 1700, or anyone who has studied the first 6 videos in my series on Development. In this lesson, we look at some situations where even a mild development advantage can be highlighted by trading, (rather than attacking!) because it may highlight the activity vs passivity of the last one or two pieces on the board.
