I had a dream of you
and your crystal blue eyes
I stepped inside your soul
and I knew you for a moment

Your songs of love
and your gentleness
Touched a part of me
that had long been
locked away - and for
such a sweet, short time
I could smile at life again

(But) the dream itself was crystal
and your eyes part of the reflection
Capturing the radiance of the suns light
and changing it at every turn

Each new color was
another secret unfolding
Another part of you revealed
another part of me surrendered

Then as suddenly as it came
the dream had to end
because dreams made of crystal
are so fragile.....so delicate

They shatter so easily into a million tiny pieces
and when you try to put them back together
They cut you so deeply
that all you have left to show for it
are splintered memories
and Blood on your hands
