Cherry jump - Bathtime

2: 30 PM

with the red lights on

I stick my head

underneath the waves

and listen to my heart beat.

Confused

and thinking somebody’s walkin’ around

outside my door

I stick my head

above the surface

and listen.

With my ears

submerged with water

he begins his walk

once more.

Never moving

never getting

any closer.

What irony

I think,

what a grotesque game

of hide and seek.
